Factions - couple of questions
im planning on getting factions, im enjoying guild wars alot, im level 10. I think ill get it when im at least level 15 but ihave a few questions about it.
1: how big is the factions world compared to propehcies? 2: do u still get people scamming you and doing fake runs and things? 3: Is it easier/harder 4: Can u somehow use your charcter in both games? or anything like that? 5: One thing i like about guild wars is the buissness side, by going out and getting items, bringing them back to sell, is this still possible? thanks |

1) smaller
2) scams yes (only if you're careless, tho), but there's pretty much no running in factions due to locked gates 3) a bit easier, I guess. and character progression is A LOT faster 4) yes, you can 5) uh... yes, you can still sell items and why are you posting this in the nightfall forum? 1. Factions area is about 2/3 the size of Tyria
2. Yep, scammers there, but there's virtually no running in Cantha because you can't run there. 3. easier 4. Yes, there's a quest you can get in LA to take you to Cantha & another one in Cantha that takes you to LA - When you have both games linked on the same account. 5. All of the merchants, crafters, and traders still exist in Cantha - Buying and selling is a main element of the game. |

1. It is about 2/3's the size, but there is a lot of extra things to do. As long as you don't rush through the game (try to finish it as fast as possible) and accually do the extra missions and things, then it's worth buying.
2. You can get scammed as far as buying things and such, but there are almost no runs because of gates. 3. Some of it is easier, but overall, it is harder. I don't see how the other two people that replied can think it is easier. (I went to prophecies with my monk and was like "Omg the enemies suck here. I might as well have just brought one healing skill and then smites because they deal so much less damage compared to factions.") 4. Yes, there are quests you can do to link the continents with each character. Once you have linked them with that character, then they can travel back and forth on them as much or little as you want. 5. Yes, you can still get items from farming/questing/normal playing the game and then sell them to npc's/players. That is the main way to make money in both factions, and prophecies. |
